Movie 6: Rain Man

See? I can watch "good" movies too. I just have nothing to write about after I see them... it's awsome and anyone who hasn't seen it needs to see it now.

5/5

Rain Man in 5 Seconds

Movie 5: MXP: Most Extreme Primate

It's a monkey... on a snowboard... a monkey... on a snowboard... a monkey that snowboards!!! A SNOWBOARDING MONKEY!!! Automatic 5/5 despite IMDB's disgraceful 3.9/10...

SNOWBOARDING MONKEY!!!!!!!

Movie 4: Teen Wolf

I kinda forgot my password for this blog... remembered it just now so I'll write up the last 3 movies I've seen.

Teen wolf is an awsome, fun movie. Basicly the kid from Back to the Future plays a clumsy, unpopular, not very sporty teenage boy then he starts to go through some changes... he grows hair in places there wasn't before... his voice changes... he begins to sweat more when he's in public places... of course this means he's becoming a warewolf :S He then uses his abilities as a warewolf to become the best basketball player in school and the most popular guy in town, gets the girl and eventually wins the big championship game.

Very shallow film but I enjoyed it. 5/5

Movie 2 - Yugioh! The Abridged Movie

If anyone on the ONM forum has been wondering what my sigs are all about, you should seriously start watching the abridged series.

Created by LittleKuriboh, the Abridged Series is a comedic series based on the anime Yu-Gi-Oh! and... you know what... if I have to tell you I'm not even gonna bother... go away and watch the episodes right now...

serioiusly, go away. You're not missing anything...

I'm not saying anything else about it...

You're just wasting your own time by continuing to read this...

Oh, still here? Fine... it's 30 mins well spent. I know it's not "technically" a "real" "movie" but these are Chris' rules and I did say I'd be breaking the rules every so often!

Don't blame me! Some of the other people haven't even started writing thier reviews...

Oh well... 5/5. Funny "movie" and possibly the best "movie" made in the last year.

Movie 1 - Death Note

I started watching the Death Note anime series a few months ago, chosing to watch the english dubs cause I quite like them and because I'm not in a huge rush to watch the most up to date episode like everyone else seems to be. I've decided I wanted my first movie to be fairly obscure... and Death Note is about as obscure as you can get. Basicly... it's an anime that makes writing look exciting... yeah...

This movie isn't awful... I just don't like it very much... I felt like the only reason I understood what was going on was because I'd seen it in the anime before, which is something I feel film makers should keep away from doing. Death Note isn't really a story which can be condensed into the size of a movie and still make sense. A lot of what was in it could not have possibly made any sense at all to anyone unfamiliar with the anime or manga. Although, at the same time it was clearly not created for people who were already fans of the anime and manga series so nobody should really mark them down for that.

Ryuk was the only character in this movie that was CG, and I'm undecided on whether it was good CG or bad CG. It was bad in the sense that it didn't seem to fit with the surroundings and was unrealisticly real/realisticly unreal... if that makes sense to you. I can't quite explain it; you need to see it for yourself. However, it was good in the sense that it had charm to it, like Jack Skelington almost.

Light was played by Tatsuya Fujiwara, the awsome guy from Battle Royale, which strangly enough as I was writing this my little brother who had borrowed it for about a year now came in and gave me back my Battle Royal DVD o_o He looks just like Light, but to be honest they could give anyone that hair and they'd look like Light. At first he doesn't act like Light acts... and doesn't appear to have Light's sense of morals as he if first shown playing Basketball against another team for money, which is something I feel Light wouldn't do. It just doesn't fit his character at all...

Oh well... 2/5. It's a decent enough movie but it's sub standard and not very well made at all.
